I grew up in the middle of Tokyo where I was surrounded by both modern culture and beautiful nature. On weekends I visited museums, temples, the ocean, or the mountains – always with good food and music!  My surroundings and variety of culture and exposures helped me to develop my sensitivity to art.  When I was industrial designer, I won an international lighting competition.

After I moved here, I raised two beautiful kids. It was hard and but fun job. However I ignored my inner voice such a long time. I realized that I wanted to go back to a creative field again and now here I am.

My art work is based on the roots of my own culture.  I use the traditional Japanese color combination of red and black and minimalist design to express strong messages.  Recently, I do wine label design for client.
